Multi-course dinners for gatherings of consequence, cooked on site and served by our team.
An intimate table in your home — four to five courses, cooked in your kitchen and plated at the pass.
Weekly seasonal menus portioned for the days ahead, delivered chilled — cooked the way we'd cook for our own table.
We talk about the room, the guests, and the occasion. Nothing is fixed in advance.
You receive a written menu within three days, built from what the growers have that week.
We shop the morning of. If something isn't at its best, we change the dish rather than serve it.
We cook, plate, and serve — then leave the kitchen cleaner than we found it.
Meet Chef Milt
Founder & Executive Chef
For Chef Milt, great food has never been just about what's on the plate. It's about the experience, the people gathered around it, and the memories that linger long after the last bite.
His culinary journey began in Atlanta, Georgia, where he spent more than a decade as the founder and Executive Chef of The Pound Cake Company, building a business around rich flavors, handcrafted indulgence, and the simple pleasure of making people happy through food. Alongside the bakery, he operated a catering company, creating memorable dining experiences and developing the hospitality instincts that continue to define his approach today.
He knew how to make food people craved.
But somewhere along the way, the chef who had mastered the art of feeding others lost sight of how he was feeding himself.
Years of indulgence, unhealthy habits, and a complicated relationship with food contributed to a debilitating struggle with obesity. At his heaviest, Milt weighed 496 pounds. The very thing that had brought him professional success and personal joy had also become part of what was threatening his future.
Something had to change.
And rather than walk away from the kitchen, he decided to change what came out of it.
Milt began approaching his own nutrition with the same curiosity, creativity, and relentless attention to flavor that had shaped his professional cooking career.
He reconsidered everything. The ingredients. The sourcing. The preparation. The relationship between what we eat and how we feel.
Whole ingredients replaced heavily processed foods. Thoughtful sourcing became a priority. Sugar was no longer the foundation of flavor. Fresh herbs, vibrant produce, quality proteins, and intentional cooking techniques took center stage.
But one thing was never negotiable.
The food still had to be extraordinary.
What followed was a remarkable personal transformation: a loss of more than 330 pounds and the discovery of an entirely new culinary philosophy.
Milt didn't stop loving food. He learned to love it differently.
And that distinction changed everything.
What began as a personal transformation evolved into a shared vision with his wife and creative partner, Starlyss.
Source + Season was born from a simple conviction: eating exceptionally well and living exceptionally well should never be competing ambitions.
The kitchen began with a standing Thursday dinner for eight and grew into something more: an opportunity to bring thoughtful, ingredient-driven cooking to other people's tables.
The philosophy remains beautifully uncomplicated.
Know the source. Respect the ingredient. Let the season lead.
Or, as Chef Milt likes to put it:
"If your tomatoes are this good, don't bury them under twelve ingredients they never asked for."
Today, Chef Milt brings decades of culinary entrepreneurship, hospitality experience, and a deeply personal understanding of food's impact on our lives to his work as a private chef.
His approach is rooted in seasonal ingredients, responsible sourcing, thoughtful preparation, and an unwavering belief that exceptional food should nourish the body without compromising the pleasure of eating.
No punishment disguised as nutrition. No unnecessary complexity masquerading as sophistication. And absolutely no sacrificing flavor in the name of wellness.
Just beautifully considered food, prepared with intention and served with genuine hospitality.
That isn't simply a tagline. It's the standard.
Every menu begins with the ingredient. Every dish is an opportunity to celebrate its natural character. And every dining experience is designed around the people who will enjoy it.
From intimate private dinners to personalized culinary experiences, Chef Milt brings the perspective of a seasoned Executive Chef and the conviction of someone whose life was fundamentally changed by the food he chose to eat.
He spent years mastering indulgence. Today, he brings that same obsession with flavor to food that helps people feel their best.
